Sending samples from abroad

We do accept samples from other countries for any diagnostic testing.

Please do not forget to include a consent form when sending samples! You may use your local form in your local language or our form (on the request form).

Please note: not all genes that we test may be listed on the form, since this is not updated daily. Please

contact us if you miss a test on the form.

Turnaround time for sequencing of genes with less than 15 exons is usually up to 6 weeks. For larger genes, turnaround time is given as 8 weeks. Please contact us for details on certain genes.

We accept DNA and EDTA blood samples.

EU countries: send samples by airmail at
ambient temperature.

Non-EU countries: Samples should be sent by international express airmail courier (FedEx or DHL) at ambient temperature.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND FROZEN SAMPLES.

Samples from non-EU countries must be accompanied by a CUSTOMS DECLARATION stating that you are sending human
blood samples/ human DNA which is non toxic and of no commercial value.

Otherwise, the sample delivery is likely delayed at customs. Please contact the courier service for details. There is a special envelope for sending blood or tissue specimen. Please send off the specimen on a Monday or Friday only to ensure that we will receive them no later than
Thursday (maximum two day delivery), and inform me as soon as you are
planning to send off the samples.

Please include a COMMERCIAL INVOICE
billing me 1 US $. Also, please give this as value on the airway bill. Otherwise, the sample delivery is likely delayed at customs.

Important: please give me the AWB number of the package in order to enable me to track it down at customs.
